Description"Gaeng Phet Phuk Sai Moo" is a Thai red curry dish that you can find almost anywhere in Thailand. You can substitute fresh pumpkin if you can't get chayote squash. It's spicy, but you control the heat by adding more or less curry paste.

1 can coconut milk, 14 ounce
2-3 tablespoons Thai red curry paste 1 teaspoon MSG (optional) 1 cup fresh basil leaves, whole 1 pound pork shoulder, cut in 1" slices 3 whole chayote squash, thinly sliced Methods/stepsHeat coconut milk over high heat and add red curry paste, stirring to dissolve. Add meat and squash. Lower heat to medium-high. Cook a few minutes until the squash is soft. Add MSG (optional) and fresh basil and cook a couple minutes more. Serve with rice. Reviews |
