Strawberries Brulee

This is one of my very favorite desserts. Every single time I have made this dessert for someone in the last 10 years, they have asked for the recipe. My wife asks me to make this at least once a week.

6 ounces cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 quart fresh strawberry
1/4 cup brown sugar, packed

Methods/steps

In bowl, beat cream cheese with electric mixer until fluffy. Add
sour cream and 2 Tbsp brown sugar. Beat until smooth.

Reserve 1 berry for garnish.

Slice remaining berries in half and arrange evenly in bottom of 8-inch round broiler-safe dish. Spoon cream cheese mixture evenly over berries. (May be made up until this point ahead of time, and refrigerated.)

Sieve remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar evenly over cream cheese mixture.

Broil 4-5 inches from heat for 1-2 minutes, or until sugar turns
golden brown. Be careful not to burn sugar!

Slice reserved berry and arrange on top of dessert. Serve immediately.
