Sauteed Cherry Tomatoes

Description

A quick saute in butter turns ordinary cherry tomatoes into a taste explosion. It quickly became my favorite way to eat tomatoes and it's so simple and quick.

6 tablespoons butter
2 pints of cherry tomatoes
salt and pepper, to taste
fresh basil or thyme (optional)

Methods/steps

Melt the butter in a heavy skillet. Add the tomatoes and saute, being sure to roll them around in the pan, for 3-5 minutes, no more or they will overcook. Add fresh herbs if desired for the last minute of cooking time. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
