Sardine, Apple and Cheese Sandwiches

Description

I know what it sounds like, but these are delicious. If you like sardines, you must try these easy and elegant open-face sandwiches!

4 slices rye bread, toasted
2 sardines, 3.75 oz cans
1 apple, sliced
4 slices havarti cheese
mustard to taste

Methods/steps

Preheat the broiler on your oven.

Butter 4 slices toasted rye. Spread lightly with mustard. Arrange the sardines on the bread. Arrange apple slices on top. Cover with cheese, and broil 4" from heat for 3 minutes until cheese melts. Be careful not to burn it!
