Roasted Asparagus

Description

Roasting is one of the best ways I know to bring out the flavor of asparagus. Just be careful not to overcook (and burn) it.

1 pound fresh asparagus, washed, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
Salt, to taste
Freshly-ground black pepper, to taste

Methods/steps

Preheat oven to 475 degrees.

In a roasting pan, toss the asparagus with the olive oil and vinegar until coated. Spread asparagus out in a single layer, if possible.

Roast asparagus for 10 minutes until tender. Season with salt and pepper and transfer to serving dish.
