Pork Chops with Peach Salsa Cream Sauce

Description

Newman's Own Peach Salsa provides the basis for this delicious, quick sauce for pork chops. I came up with it one day when experimenting with a leftover jar of this wonderful salsa. Use pork blade chops if possible - see note at the end of the recipe.

4 boneless pork blade chops, 1-1/2 inches thick
1 jar Newman's Own Peach Salsa
1/4 cup cream
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped

Methods/steps

Broil chops over high heat on grill, approx 4-5 minutes on each side. Be careful not to overcook them and make them tough. Let them rest 5 minutes after removing from the grill before serving.

In the meantime, warm salsa in a small pan over medium heat. Reduce heat to low, stir in cream and cook about 5 minutes. Stir in fresh cilantro right before serving. Serve over chops.

Additional Tips

Ask your butcher for boneless pork blade chops. They are much more tender than most other chops, which have become so lean that they are tough.
