A perfect finish to a good meal, this chocolate chip cake doesn't overpower you with chocolate. Fluffy and delicious!

6 tablespoons butter
1 cup sugar
2 egg
1 1/3 cups flour, unsifted
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 cup sour cream
6 ounces chocolate chip
1 tablespoon sugar, extra

Methods/steps

Preheat oven to 350.

Mix butter with 1 cup sugar until blended. Beat in eggs one at a time.

Sift flour, baking powder, baking soda and cinnamon together. Blend with the creamed mixture, then mix in the sour cream.

Pour batter into greased and floured 13x9 pan (or use two 9" cake pans). Scatter chocolate chips over batter, then sprinkle 1 Tablespoon sugar over top.

Bake at 350 for 35 minutes (25 minutes if using 2 9-inch pans).

Cut into 24 squares.

DO NOT REFRIGERATE !!!!
