Broiled Breaded Scallops

1 1/2 pounds sea scallops
1/2 stick butter
1 egg, beaten
fine dry breadcrumbs
salt and pepper to taste
parsley
1 teaspoon cajun seasoning
lemon wedges

Methods/steps

Wash and drain scallops. Melt butter in a shallow baking dish. Dip scallops in egg and bread crumbs which have been seasoned with the cajun seasoning, salt and pepper. Place scallops in the dish with melted butter and turn gently so butter coats each scallop. Place under the broiler 5-6 minutes, turning occasionally. Serve with lemon wedges and parsley sprigs.
