4 egg whites
4 egg yolks
2 cups sugar
1 cup butter
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
2/3 cup milk
3 cups fresh blueberries, about 2 pints


Beat egg whites until stiff, then fold in 1/2 cup sugar and set aside.

Cream the butter, add salt, vanilla and remaining sugar. Add egg yolks, and beat until creamy. Add dry ingredients alternately with milk. Fold in beaten egg whites and blueberries which have been coated with 1 Tbsp flour.

Turn into well greased 9 x 13 inch pan and sprinkle the top with remaining sugar.

Bake at 350 for 45 minutes. May take slightly longer.
